Haunted Happenings 2016

The MBTA Commuter Rail is pleased to provide increased train service to and from the annual celebration of Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts, known as Haunted Happenings.

Schedules for Extra Trains the Weekends Prior to Halloween

Click here for schedules of extra Inbound and Outbound trains displayed in orange that will be operated in addition the regularly scheduled trains shown in black on the following days:

-Saturday, October 22, and Sunday, October 23.
-Saturday, October 29, and Sunday, October 30.

Schedules for Extra Trains on Halloween, Monday, October 31

Service will run on a weekday schedule on Halloween, Monday, October 31.
Customers may experience increased ridership to Salem during the evening commute on Monday, October 31. Please expect crowding and delays throughout the evening. 

Ticket Information

On Halloween only, special roundtrip tickets will be available at North Station for $10. Roundtrip interzone tickets will be available on board trains and from the van at Beverly Station for $5. Special event mTickets will not be sold for Halloween night.

Salem Parking Garage

Customers should please note that access into the Salem Parking Garage will be restricted as of 6 p.m. on Halloween night. Access into and out of the Salem Parking Garage will be restricted between the hours of 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. (or the completion of festivities).
